They have been deceiving you by telling you never to let go, but to keep holding on. Hey, can you remember since when you have been holding on, has anything changed? Haven’t you continued living in that pitiable state you have always disliked and complained about?
I don’t really want to know what you are passing through right now, it may be the heaviest burden you have ever carried, you may be at the brink of collapse, you may be sitting on the cliff, you may be tossed up and down by the waves of life. I just want you to know that the burden has an EXPIRY DATE. It is time for you to finally LET GO, because the ultimate solution is to LET GO and LET GOD since you can’t solve your problems with your own might, wisdom and power.
This reminds me of the story of a man who was drowning in a river, everyone watched as the man was battling with the waves of the water hitting him and as he was seriously struggling with the water in order to retain his breath. But the more he struggles, the deeper he drowns while everyone watched helplessly because they don’t know how to swim and thus did not want to risk their live. Then suddenly when the man had given up the hope of any rescue mission, when he had surrendered to fate and accepted his cross, one of the men who had been watching him, jumped into the river and rescued him in a split second.
Later in the evening, the almost drowned man asked his rescuer why it took him so long to jump into the river and he responded that ‘when a man is drowning, he will attempt to save himself by all means, he will even hold tight to a falling branch, that’s not the best of time to jump into the river because he will struggle with you as he believes in his strength and may even drown you too in the process. But you have to wait till when he is exasperated, helpless and weak; he will surrender to your rescue tactics without a struggle’.
How many of us are still struggling with God over our life. Why not let’s confess our helplessness and ask for his divine intervention now. He has innumerable rescue tactics that he can employ. Just Let Go, and Let God.
With God in charge, you will definitely smile. I hope someone will stop telling God, how big his/her problems are, but will start telling those problems how big the God that he/she serves is. Have a fun-filled weekend ahead. I love you.
